Earlybird AI Accessibility Statement

Scope

This statement applies to all digital products developed by Earlybird AI, including: Conversations and WorkScribe

Conformance

Earlybird AI is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility Features

Our platform supports:

  • Resizable text up to 300% without loss of content or functionality
  • Keyboard-only navigation for all interactive controls
  • Screen-reader compatibility (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS)
  • High-contrast mode and sufficient color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
  • Descriptive headings, labels, and instructions for forms and controls

Standards and Testing

We conduct regular accessibility audits using a combination of automated tools and manual testing to verify compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria in the following areas:

  • Perceivable: Text alternatives for non-text content; sufficient color contrast; resizable text.
  • Operable: Keyboard navigation; clear focus indicators; consistent interface elements.
  • Understandable: Simple, consistent layouts and language; descriptive labels and instructions.
  • Robust: Semantic HTML; ARIA roles and attributes used as needed to support assistive technologies.

Known Accessibility Limitations

Some parts of the Earlybird AI interface generate links dynamically, which makes it impractical to provide a fully custom, descriptive label on every link. In these cases:

  • Link text may default to the URL or a generic label (e.g. “Open resource”).
  • We ensure surrounding context clearly describes each link’s purpose.
  • ARIA-describedby attributes are added where possible to provide extra context to screen-reader users.
  • We’re actively working to implement more robust labeling logic and custom tooltips in a future releases.

Third-Party Content

Earlybird integrates with third-party services. While we choose accessible partners, we cannot guarantee their content meets WCAG standards. We actively collaborate with vendors to improve accessibility.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is built into our product development process, with every feature undergoing automated WCAG 2.2 AA testing before release. We also maintain an internal backlog of accessibility tasks prioritised alongside functional work and conduct yearly audits to identify and remediate gaps.
